Let me repeat that. You. Are. Enough.
Often times, women tend to internalize feelings and turn inward to a very dark place when they can’t express their emotions. It seems to be in a woman’s nature to blame herself when she isn’t able to provide a child for her husband/partner; she isn’t able to provide a grandchild to her parents or her in-laws; she isn’t welcomed into the mom club with all of her friends, and she struggles in silence.
You are enough. It’s time to shed the concept that you have gone through enough, been judged enough, tried hard enough, worked hard enough, or hurt enough, as these are not identifying factors of being enough. Shed the concept of being all things to everyone, or being perfect in all roles you maintain. You are an evolving human being, ever changing, ever growing. You are exactly the person you were made to be. You have purpose. You are enough.
“Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
― Dr. Seuss, from the book Happy Birthday to You!
Infertility does not label who you are, it is an aspect of your life, granted a difficult one, but it does not define you. It is time to accept yourself and love yourself, exactly as you are. You are beautiful, you are strong, you are blessed, you are enough.
